Organisation summary: In April 2005 the Prime Ministers of Poland and Norway met in Oslo as they were both willing to initiate bilateral cooperation with the aim of research development. The Fund’s aim is to finance joint research projects which enable the realization of the research aims of both countries (especially protection of the environment and healthcare).The overall objective of the Fund is establishing and strengthening of a fruitful and long-term co-operation between Polish and Norwegian researchers focusing primarily on environmental and health research. As a result of the Call for proposal organized in 2007, 42 projects received co-financing, including 22 research projects (13 referring to environmental research and 9 referring to health research) and 20 seminars focusing on the Activities of the Norwegian Financial Mechanisms.
